GMail Scam

You are almost out of space for your Gmail account. Once you run out of space, you will not be able to send or receive any emails until you delete some items.
You can view our tips on reducing your email storage or purchase additional storage.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm getting tired of finding an email service then having them jack me around wanting money.  It's hard enough to get away from AOL, but I thought I found a good e-mail account with GMail that I could also chat with friends.

Now, I'm getting I have used all my allotted space.  For some reason, ALL OF A SUDDEN this notice has been showing up constantly - even thought I have delete e-mails from over 4000 to 343.  But the system STILL SHOWS I'm over my "limit".  It will not allow me to send emails, and the notice says I will not be able to receive any.

I thought I would pay for additional space, but thought I'd just forward some e-mails to my Yahoo account for storage - but again, I'm over my "limit".  So I decided to copy e-mails to MS Word so I would have the information available should I need it again.  Again, I lowered my In Box to just a little over 300 e-mails - IT STILL SAYS I'M OUT OF AVAILABLE SPACE.

The only conclusion I can come up with is that Google/Gmail is just trying to scam their users into believing they are out of space and will have to pay money to continue their service.  Well, I ain't biting.  If they want money from me, then they need to come right out and tell me they will be charging for using GMail.  Pure and simple.

Anyway, I hope to hear from others who have had this same situation occur.

Thanks for reading this blog.
